Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
I will strive to provide fun, stimulating and a natural environment that will foster learning through real life experiences. I believe that all children are unique individuals who learn at their own pace.
Children are social beings full of curiosity and imagination, who have the potential and desire to find connections and meaning in all their experiences.
Children have a right to be heard, respected, to feel safe and to feel a sense of belonging to their family day care community.
Children will be in an environment that is inclusive, promotes competence, independence, exploration through play.
Children have the opportunity to celebrate diversity and acknowledge the importance of the Gulnay community on which we reside.
I would provide a flexible play and learning program that will be based on and extend all children's interest abilities and learning and development.
Ensure children develop an awareness of sustainable practices and recycling.

Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
I have been working in the Childcare industry since April 2017, I started out as a OSHC educator, then an assistant and then a Lead Educator and now onto family daycare, working with all age groups. When I was a child I attended family daycare in Ayr and I have nothing but wonderful memories and life long friends. This is why I strive so hard to reach for the same outcome with my daycare children and families.
I have a absolute passion for working with children and nothing excites me more then to watch them learn and grow. My learning environment gives the children the opportunity to explore freely while building relationships, Social skills, developing self- confidence and gaining everyday life skills. I offer a range of activities that are intentionally planned or spontaneous. By doing this I am able to extend off the children’s interest and help them explore it more while learning through play.
Being a child can sometimes be very confusing, frustrating and emotional, learning all new things all the time, this is why I believe that all children should be loved and nurtured and shown empathy and respect. Ultimately when the children leave at the end of the day with a smile on their face I know I have done my job right and I have made them feel safe, secured and supported!
“Popcorn is prepared in the same pot, in the same heat, in the same oil, yet the kernels don’t pop at the same time. Don’t compare your child to others their turn to pop is coming”
